This is an assessment for children under 5 years old. This assessment will help you to identify if your child has sensory impairments, developmental delays or any difficulties which may impact on his/her communication or play skills.
The early years intervention is a collection of therapy and support for families of children who have disabilities or are at risk of developing them.
For infants and toddlers, early intervention is very important. We can assist you in areas listed below:
- Reaching developmental milestones including crawling and walking.
- Making eye contact.
- Foundation hand skills such as reaching, grasping, and crossing midline and bilateral integration.
- Understanding simple instructions
- Skills requires for eating (using their hands or spoon)
- We work in partnership with teachers to support participation of the children in nursery activities.
How we can support you:

- We provide training to teachers on areas of difficulty within the classroom that nursery request assistance for such as sensory difficulties within the classroom, pre handwriting, and motor skills.
- We provide advice and strategies to improve the child self care skills such as dressing and feeding.
Early intervention is critical to minimise the potential for developmental delay.
